I'm scared I seriously hurt my baby !

My baby is 11 weeks old and was laying on the bed and a 20st family friend was helping me to move her pram and tripped falling back and essentially sitting on the babys head! I don't know if they sat on her completely/put on their full weight because they moved pretty fast but it was enough to cover her head and make the bed dip.

She cried for maybe two minutes maximum and was fine for about 30 mins afterwards until she went to sleep and has been asleep for past two hours. it is nighttime and she was tired/drifting off before it happened so I don't think she was knocked out/has a concussion.

I checked all her skull and there's no dents, bruises, swelling...

I think because it's my first child I'm just looking for reassurance it's okay. She's laying beside me in her cot breathing and snoring fine and my partner made a noise when putting his phone on the bedside table which made her flinch so I'm assuming all okay?

In these circumstances I think I would want my baby checked over. It’s most likely that everything is fine but no one here can tell you. At least a proper assessment by a medical professional will offer you reassurance.

I took baby DD to be checked over after she fell off the bed onto a hard floor. She was fine and I apologised for wasting time. The nurse at the hospital said they would always rather see lots of babies that turn out to be fine than parents not wanting to bother them and missing one who did need attention.

If she seems fine it's fine. She was on the bed

If baby is not screaming or excessively crying I’m sure she is fine.

The fact that she is not doing either and is not acting strangely would reassure me. Just keep an eye on her, if she wakes up for feed and behaves normally I’m sure she is absolutely fine.

Mine had a head injury in an accident. Cried non stop and started to be sick a little while after and did need medical treatment. At only 11 weeks i think id have got checked out, going to sleep would have worried me. Hope all ok.
