Drool rash

My daughter has had drool rash for a couple of days now but it is quite bad. She's had it before but it's never been this much and has usually it has gone away pretty much the day after. She does dribble her milk quite a lot!! But I do wipe her face pretty much straight away with the bib when she does so I'm not really sure how she's getting so much of it down to her neck. When she first had it our health visitor told us to just clean and dry the area and put some Vaseline on it so the milk won't stick to the neck, this is what we have been doing but it just looks to be getting worse, it's so red and looks really sore! When we put the Vaseline on it looks bumpy! It goes pretty much all around her neck there is quite a lot of it. Most of it is all touching buts there's a few little spots that aren't touching to The main rash. What can help with this ? I don't want her to be in any pain or for it to be sore for her.

I found sudocrem helped and holding a muslin around the bottle so milk dribbling out hits that rather than baby’s face. When it’s been really bad I’ve washed the area and put sudocrem on several times in a day but normally just doing it once a day at any time has worked

I have this at the moment too! Well my baby does. It’s horrible. I’m using sudocrem too but to no avail at the moment. 😭

Try Child's Farm nappy cream. It worked really well for both of mine who had awful red folds in their necks. I used it maybe twice a day and it didn't take too long to calm down

Child's farm nappy cream here too, definitely working. Sudacreme dried rash up and made it itchy but didn't clear it. Asda, Morrison and boots all stock it, not sure where else

I used Aveeno - the one with the blue lid for dry skin and it cleared it up almost immediately. It's not a child product per se but pretty gentle.

It could have a fungal infection, you might need to see a Dr for something a bit stronger . DS had a nasty nappy rash that was fungal, we got some Timodene from Dr and it cleared up quickly.

Sorry, it as in the rash, I wasn't calling your daughter it!
