We quite like Honey, or Honeysuckle with a more grown up middle name but im not sure if its going to be seen as a sensible name?

Thanks

Of course it's not going to be taken seriously. Can you imagine "Honey" renewing her season ticket for the commute to work, or "Honeysuckle" shouting at her kids to get off the slide so the other kids at the top can get down?

Your baby is going to become an adult. Be kind.

Honeysuckle is absolutely awful. Think of what other kids will say when she’s a teenager! Please don’t do that to your DD!

@Shelley54 oh god yes, and imagine job applications! Poor, poor woman 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yeah that’s not good

I'd maybe do 'Honey' as a middle and at a push... Honeysuckle is truly, truly awful.

wishing3 · 31/08/2020 17:54

I’m afraid I’m not keen, sorry! However I think often the names people don’t like in the abstract grow on them.

treenu · 31/08/2020 18:06

We have several teenage Honeys where I teach and I find it really odd when I'm questioning the class and have to say 'yes Honey - what do you think? It sounds wierd as that's what my DP calls me!

Wolfiefan · 31/08/2020 18:07

Of course Honeysuckle isn’t a “sensible” name.

Bishbashboom · 31/08/2020 18:08

I did think as much, was wondering if it was hormones.

Was purely interested on opinions after hearing honeysuckle weeks name

Would you like to be called Honey or Honeysuckle? Imagine being at school or work or introducing yourself to new people.

I don’t mean that in a rude way, I just find it helps to pretend it’s your name and see how you feel!
