Wonder what everyone else does?

Hi- stay at home Mum. I have a gorgeous 2 year old DD. But I just wonder - what do other SAHM do all day as well? I say this because at the moment in these weird times that I'm the only one watching the clock and thinking how exciting it will be to have a hot cup of tea and a piece of chocolate I've stashed away - when DD goes for her nap. Or - finding a bargain on Facebook Marketplace and driving to get it - that was a highlight on Wednesday. Of course I do craft and read and go for walks with DD - but I often wonder if anyone else has this simple day to day thoughts? I used to have a full on full time job. I don't know what I'm trying to say really..just wonder if there's anyone else currently standing in their kitchen being quiet and trying not to make too much biscuit rustling sounds...Confused

I’m a sahm too. Right now I’m going to have a nap with the toddler after an awful night (teething) while DH uses his lunch time to play with DD1. DD1 starts school new week so we will have a new routine soon

I'm a sahm to a 2 yo and can relate. We're lucky to know a few friends locally in the same boat so we do a lot of park/playground trips too.

I'm a SAHM too and totally get what you're saying. Feel limited with what we can do at the moment. Used to go to library to read and play, swimming pool, groups etc but nonr of them open again yet. Outside the house we go for walks, playground, grandparents, beach, playdate. All great but definitely feeling the lack of variety at the moment, for both my children and for me. Sometimes we go to a cafe with outside tables for a treat. I hope more stuff will be open as it gets colder and wetter!

I went back to work. I couldn't handle the boredom and loneliness. All my friends worked, my family were not close geographically and my 2yo was a determined little soul, more than ready for socialising with other dcs at a childminder.

Maybe I just wasn't cut out to be a SAHM. I'm glad I worked then, because now he's approaching teens, I can afford to be around more.

It was so much easier before every thing shut down! We had a little routine of different groups we went to and then would usually have playdates, visit GPs or just go to the park. Hopefully as more things re open it will get easier - we've been back to the library, and I'm going to book swimming too.

We only have TV on at set times and there are plenty of days I'm just clock watching till it's Cbeebies times!
