Gift for 10 year old boy

My 9 year old nephew will be 10 next month and I'm trying to think of a really great present for him. He lost his Dad a few months ago so I want to try and make this birthday very special for him and lift his mood (as best I can).
Gift experiences are out with covid so will have to be an actual gift.

What sort of things does he like? Does he enjoy reading? You could get a kindle? Otherwise there are some great magazine subscriptions for that age, like Aquila.

Thanks for your message. He's into outdoorsy things and Lego more than reading. I like the idea of a magazine subscription Smile

I'd find out what type of Lego sets he's into
( HP, Superhero etc) and buy the best I could afford.
