Sick on mattresses!

hi
My LG is only 3 days old and has already messed up her pram and crib mattress by being sick. It went right through the sheet and obviously I can't wash the mattresses easily.
Does anyone have any top tips or know where you can get mattress protectors?

You can order them from Dunelm or the White Company. In the super market you can buy large absorbent pads for potty training which can also be put under the sheet to absorb.
I used to layer sheets so there was another waterproof one underneath ready to go in the night.
Pillowcases make good crib/ pram sheets too If you need extras.

Great thanks. I'll have a look and love the layering tip!

We got ours from Argos.
A good sprinkle of bicarb helps get any smells out of mattresses.

I used to put a folded muslin under the sheet on the pram mattress to create some extra absorbent layers.

Second the folded muslin tucked around the mattress, easier to whip off than the whole sheet.
