Colief drops

Does anyone have experience of using colief drops whilst exclusively breastfeeding? Do you have to express and give baby drops in some breast milk before every feed or just a certain amount of times a day? My son eats a lot so this will be so hard if it's before every feed 😂

The drops reduce the amount of lactose in the milk. Every feed would need to be express and the colief put in 30 mins before each feed. Lactose intolerance (caused by not enough enzymes) is incredible rare in babies although it does happens. An allergy to CMPA or allergy is much more common.

What’s happening with your baby?

I used colief (or co lactase as cheaper!) Whilst breastfeeding. I bought a small medicine dispenser off amazon (one that looks like a bottle)... I mixed a small amount of breastmilk with the colief and gave her that first. (I always had a small bottle of expressed milk in the fridge or freezer, when I knew it was near feeding time I would just put some of this milk in the medicine bottle and put in bottle warmer)... bit of a faff but the difference was amazing in my daughter!
