Hi all,

Looking for some advice. My DS is now 14 weeks and for over a week he has been really unsettled now. Up until he was 13 weeks he was a really settled baby. Has anybody else experienced this? I want my happy baby back :(

Honestly, they go through ups and downs, could be early teeth moving around (red cheeks and drooling?) or tummy problems that will settle - my first literally had 4 hours sleep a night til she was 13 weeks ish then would sleep 12 hours straight. Then teethjng started and it was wobbly but she ended up not being able to sleep and I had to do some sleep training with her.
DS came along 3.5 years after the first and slept ok ish but always woke at night at least twice (occasionally only once) til he was 2.5 years old. I survived on coffee as I'm worked full time as well as my DH who couldn't do nights (well I didn't trust him because he's so shit! He used to stay up late and do the midnight feed and I'd do the 2am-4am slot and pray I had more sleep after this point) ... just do what works for you and your partner to get through however long this lasts

They seem to go through unsettled periods for various reasons. Sometimes they are having a growth spurt or development leap (is he trying to learn how to roll?), he could be teething or just feeling a bit poorly. He will probably go back to "normal" soon :)

Gripe water used to be pretty good for unexplained grumping and unsettled babies
