Clingy baby hates sling

Hey all

My 9 weeks old has reflux and is super clingy, I've accepted that it's not forever and I'm not fighting it, but my back aches, arms and it's hard to make a sandwich with one hand haa!

Anyone found good slings for babies that like to move around and feel free but want tobe held always

What sling are you currently using?

It's a sling i got off ebay, strecby materiall that wraps around

I tried a number of different slings/carriers before I found the one that worked for us. I used a local sling library and they were so helpful. I know the one I used is up and running again. Could you see if there is one local to you to try different ones? Save you spending a fortune.

I send a sling library. I found she is better in a structured carrier, there are gaps she can easily flail her arms out of and head support she can move her head in (lille baby which is like the ergo 360)

Are you sure you’re tying it properly? Might be worth looking at videos on YouTube to see? Little tweaks can make a huge difference to comfort for mum and baby.

Agree with above suggestion of visiting a sling library for advice and to try some out. Slings can be quite personal.

I got on best with a Close Caboo for the first 4-5 months, then an Ergobaby 360 after that.

I actually have a more structured one at her dads, she was 3 weeks prem so i thought maybe it might be too structured and not supportive enough and maybe hurt but I'll get dad to bring it and try it out Thanks

You need a structured one for your poor back. Ergobaby is good, ideally the 360 one so you can wear the little one facing out when they're older too.

I don't think it helps im a plumpy plus size haa I've got the instructions here and I've tried so many ways, she just screams

She also pushes her head back alot and squirms all over, unless asleep on my shoulder or in pram
She has bad wind, silent reflux and painful poops. So the sling ends up streched within 2 minutes
