Treatment for itchy hair/scalp in toddler?

Can anyone recommend a good shampoo or treatment for my 2yo who has itchy hair?
It's definitely not nits, no signs of cradle cap or dandruff or dry skin/eczema.
I think it's just because his hair is so thick and gets hot underneath.
At the moment we wash it every other day with Aveeno baby body and hair wash.
Thank you x

Could you get his hair thinned out a bit.

My 3 yr old has this problem at the moment. I think it might be after all the hot weather.

I’ll ring gp if not sorted soon. I remember my mum had similar problem not long ago and the doctor prescribed something that sorted it out.

Thanks, I guess I was wondering if there was a 'normal' shampoo or something over the counter I could try but I will contact HV if it continues xx
