Chicco hug 4 in 1

We have bought the Chicco hug 4 in 1 and the mattress that you have to buy separately. However the mattress is very thin and soft so we are looking for an alternative. Does anyone use this product and what mattress have you got for it?

Hi @chillychills I have this and it’s brilliant, we have the mattress that came with it with some waterproof fitted sheets you can get for it. We’ve never had a problem with it.

Hi Blak, thanks for your reply. Stupid question but did you take the chair cushion out for the crib before putting the mattress in? The mattress just feels very soft on it's own

I’m using this with the Chicco hug mattress. I agree it is soft and I was concerned it didn’t really conform to sleep advice as it’s not a firm, flat surface. However my one month old baby sleeps in it and I’ve relaxed a bit now she’s not quite so tiny. I do wish it was firmer though. I took off the chair cushion and just have the mattress

I've also bought the Hug 4 in 1 and the separate mattress. The instructions for the mattress say to completely remove the original cushion and straps. The mattress still looks too thin and the fact the base of the bassinet appears to be suspended and not flush to the plastic base also makes me question if its safe for a baby to sleep in during the night. I've tried looking for a firmer mattress (4" depth) but not sure where to buy.

@NeilShep my baby is still sleeping in it but I am looking forward to moving her into her cot bed as I still don’t like how soft the Chicco mattress is. It’s a shame because otherwise I really like it

I have used their services before. The mattresses are very good quality. www.thelittlegreensheep.co.uk/mattresses/custom-made-mattresses/
