2 days old and help !!!

My son is 2 days old and has had so many poops it's crazy! The last one come out the sides and all within his nappy dark green and black? Is the milk to rich on his belly or is this normal? Many thanks

Yep, the first poos are very dark and tarry.
Amounts can vary massively. Try not to panic! :)

Normal but also make sure the nappy frills on the legs are outside the nappy not inside or you'll always get leaks

Very normal, but do make sure the ‘flaps’ are out on the nappy otherwise it does all just blast out the sides. Wait until he has a ‘armpit poop’ where it goes so far up the back it goes into his armpits! When that happens, remember that vests can be pulled down not just over the head 😁

I remember thats these poos seemed to stick to everything!
