Potty training twins..... tips??

DTs are 2y6m. They show sporadic interest in the potty, sitting on it, saying " I need the toilet" at random times etc. I am wondering if it's time to just start!

With DD1 she was at nursery and we basically did a cold turkey kind of approach, which worked.

With the twins, I'm wondering whether to do them together (I think yes), was thinking maybe switch to pull ups during the day rather than straight to knickers.....

Any tips from those who have potty trained multiples?

I potty trained mine one at a time. One twin was ready a few months earlier than the other. It was surprisingly easy and were dry at night immediately too which suprised me! Good luck!

I went straight to knickers.just said one day that we’d ran out of nappies!

Thanks! How old were yours? I just feel like mine need pushing a little. They are not at nursery and don't see any kids other than their sister who is in Year 1 so I think they have kind of accepted as a fact of life that they wear nappies, everyone else wears pants.

I haven’t but a friend did. One got it quickly, one didn’t. In the end, she put one back in nappies and focused on the twin who was getting it, hoping the other would learn by watching. A month or two later, the second twin got it. So just chipping in to say that, I’d they go at different speeds, it’s ok to approach them individually. Good luck!

I did it separately, they weren’t both ready and also the practicalities of both at once when out and about was too daunting!

Randomdogbite, yeah the practicalities are a bit Confused but I also think if I start one and not the other they will get confused or upset. They bicker a lot but are close and always want to be doing the same. If I give BoyTwin his breakfast he will say anxiously "where GirlTwin bowl?" Until I bring hers through. That kind of thing.
