Formula and food

9 month old is just refusing bottle and cup. She has always hated formula and it's always been a struggle but now she point blank refuses it unless she is sleeping. This might sound like a silly question (sorry ftm) if I add the bottle of formula (5oz) to banana will that still count as part of her 15oz a day?

If I can do that then I will just add formula to all her solids.

I dont see why not. Its going inside her tummy afterall! Porridge is another good one to add it too. Along with mashed potato, cheese sauce etc etc. Basically anything sauce/liquid/gloopy based.

Is she having a daily multivitamin (they need one if having less than a certain amount of formula a day). If so you can always ensure lots of dairy in her diet -cheese, yoghurt, cereal with formula, butter on toast. Plus extra sources of calcium such as green leaf veg to try to make up for the lack of formula. Is she growing ok?

Also have you tried formula in a beaker or cup?

@Letsallscreamatthesistene thank you. I give her cereal , porridge. Didn't think of Mashed potatoe! Thanks will try that!

@meow1989 thank you. Yep I'm giving her vitamin. Healthy start. I give her lots of food with vegatable and fruits but she doesn't eat a lot so worried about her formula intake. Rather somehow give her the formula but she doesn't eat much.

@meow1989 thank you. Got lots of beaker , cups nothing. She won't drink from any.

@meow1989 she seems to be growing well. But haven't got her weighed for 5 months because of covid. No baby clinic and gp haven't called for any review appointments. Not sure if I'm supposed to arrange it. I did ask on another thread and was told gp would be in touch..

My ds loves a creamy cheese sauce too - I dont see why you couldn't add formula to this as well, plus you could sneak some veggies in
