Dead skin in eye

Our 4 week year old has peeling skin. One bit has got in her eye. We've tried to get it out with tissue but don't want to cause any damage. It doesn't seem to be bothering her. Should we leave it to work it's way out? She doesn't have any tears yet so wont cry it out

She'll still be able to blink it out. I'd leave it unless it starts to look like it might get infected. Have you tried eye drops/water in her eyes to help flush it out?

Wipe with a wet cotton wool ball from the inner corner to outer and it should come out

Damp cotton wool gently seems sensible to me but don't rub the eye just wipe it over and see what happens.

I’d use a wet cotton bud but if you wipe the eye (shut) with warm water on a ball of cotton wool from the nose towards the ear gently it might just smooth out.
