3am cuddles

Hello all
I know you’re not meant to play too much or engage with the little one during night time feeds as it’s important to distinguish between night and day. But. Tonight after his feed my 8 week old seemed so happy to see me. I kissed him on the cheek and he was beside himself laughing and smiling. For the first time I got him to sleep lying on his back whilst I stroked his head (normally we battle through cuddling and swaying)

What a lovely moment! I’m hoping these are more and more (maybe daytime focused...!)

Anyone else have these amazing moments they can share where they felt it’s all worth it?

That's very sweet. Sometimes we can can too caught up on what we are "supposed" to do, and forget to actually enjoy the moments.

Our DD is 15 months old - yesterday out of no where she Came and rested her head on my lap for about 5 minutes (which in toddler
Time is an eternity) I was stroking her hair and she was murmuring sweetly. For all the hard work and the slog of being a parent , moments like that are so profound that it compares to nothing else I've ever experienced

Ignore what your are suppose to do, as long as it’s safe then do what your instincts tell you. It can never be a bad thing to play with your baby.

I’ve had a few watching the sun rise while cuddling my baby moments that have been lovely and I always remember

The morning smiles win with me every time.
The look on my lo face is just heart melting.
The cheeky happy smile, it’s my favourite tike of day waking up hearing him babbling to himself then looking into his crib and his face just beams with happiness and he has the most cheekiest smile. Makes my heart smile. I fall in love all over again.
