8 month old child has scarlet fever! So so worried about him😩.
Have any of your children under the age of 1 had scarlet fever?
What I've been reading online it seems to 3/5 years old.

Any advice would be appreciated ☺️

Do you know where they got it from?

I think scarlet fever is much more manageable now due to antibiotics. It was scary in the past, but is less so now.

It was scary because it spread so easily, and there was no effective treatment. It's not something to be very worried about now, though of course it's not very nice for your little one.

I'm assuming you've contacted the GP? they'll tell you when you need to get more help.

Yeah, my DS had it last Christmas. I literally mean woke up with it on Christmas Day! So that was fun....

Apparently cases have been rising in recent years. Have you got antibiotics? As long as you have those, should be fine. DS was fine in himself, it just looked awful.
