The eggs are good but will fit in a toddler's mouth. I know from experience Grin

Stacking blocks are good too.

A little paddling pool and fill with soft balls and a small activity walker and books that's what I got my 8 month old last year but in honesty he's only starting to use them now he played with boxes and the paper lol
