Just that really. First time having a service since I've had a baby.

I’ve just had my second car service since having a car seat in and it was fine. My husband did think last year they couldn’t test the seatbelt on that seat for the MOT last year. but I don’t think it got mentioned this year. Totally fine.

If you are having a MOT you really should remove car seat as the tester can not remove the car seat to check the seat belt. Seat belts can fray over time especially when used with car seats. A damaged seat belt is a mot failure but if the car seat is in they never get checked.
If just service no need but make sure they can get into your boot if that's where you keep the spare wheel.

I generally do as the one time I didn't I had one damaged as they pushed front passenger seat all the way back into it. Make sure you check and refit after anyway in case they've done anything to change installation.

I always did.
It was the only time the back seats got vacuumed.

Haha oh dear, maybe I’ll remove it next year !

I'm not having an MOT, maybe I'll double check at the desk though!

You get an advisory on your MoT if you leave it in - I always do but I've got no other option than to take DD with me. I leave it in for a service and never had a comment.

I take it out only because they hoover the car and it's the only time it ever gets cleaned. I've never taken mine out for an MOT either, but they don't go in with seat belts and they can surely check the seat belt just fine (frankly, I don't think my garage actually checks anything when they do an MOT, but that's another thread...)
