10 week old smiles at DH but not me :(

As title, have beautiful 10 week old DD who I spend the majority of the time with - feeding, sleeping, playing... and she is always smiling at my husband and hardly ever at me!

I'm lucky if I get one smile a day despite playing with her, smiling at her talking to her so much, she does look at me in the eyes loads and babbles at me excitedly but smiles are hard to come by. DH comes home from work or takes her off me and she is instantly full of easy smiles for him! He literally just has to be there.

I have a touch of PND and it's making me feel like my baby doesn't like me, which I know is silly but it has been making me sad anyway.

Will she start smiling at me more as she gets older?

You’re baby loves you, your DD has absolutely no idea who they are smiling at.

My friends baby only smiled at a weird red monkey Comforter for about 4 months!!

At this age a smile is more a sign of recognition than of affection.

She will smile at your DH because she recognises him. She sees your face all the time

Babies sort of don't have the sense that they're separate from their mum. It takes a while.
She loves you. You're her whole world Flowers

I found my DD reacted much more to DH and I think it's due to his deeper voice and things like facial hair. Lots of babies react to male features/voices especially if they are just around their mums all day
