Anyone have 2DCs who share room big age gap

looking for your experiences of room sharing with big age gaps. DD is 5 and planning second child. Unfortunately we're not in the position to move to a 3 bed anytime soon. I'd keep baby in our room until sleeping through/1 yo at least. But I'm thinking older DD would want/need her own room when she is older. Would it be unfair to even consider 2nd child because of this?

Thank you. The room is luckily quite big for those sort of shelves and has a built in wardrobe. I'm thinking way ahead, to when DD is like 10+ preteen she may need her own space. But we do have lots of room downstairs too for homework area

If the room is large that is even better, as you could definitely make it two separate spaces by dividing it, and so they each have their own space to personalise etc. And whilst your dc2 is younger, they probably will spend a lot of time playing downstairs anyway.
