3 year old chewing everything!

My 3 year old daughter has recently started chewing on toys. Particularly when she is tired or distracted e.g. watching TV, but at other times as well. A few toys have been damaged by her chewing and it's been going on a few weeks. I've tried giving her one of her little sisters chew toys but she still chews other things.

I asked her why and she just said the things feel nice on her teeth. She is (as far as we know) neurotypical, does not have any signs of autism, ADHD etc. which is all that shows up when I try to google this.

Does anyone have suggestions of a solution or cause? Have other children been through this and was it just a phase? I dont want her chewing all the toys at preschool when she goes back in Septmeber !

You can buy specific chewy necklaces. They're designed for kids with ASD/ Sensory issues but perhaps would work for her in that it's there& she can wear it in preschool and chew on that rather than toys?
