The majority non-resident parents care about their children and are fair and reasonable.
Unfortunately many are not, including self-employed NRPs who can submit falsified Self Assessments to substantially reduce their declared income and therefore maintenance support.
If implemented these measures would
speed up a fair calculation and increase the receipt of maintenance for those children whose NRP choose to avoid statutory financial support.
