Hello -I know this has been asked before but I want to buy some online today and need quick answers!I use MEOS in the day but so far have been too chicken to use reusables overnight so use a disposable but it's time I stopped. I know the MEO will not last 12 hours even with a booster. I have fluffles but they tend to leak out into her wrap so hardley ever use them and she's getting too big for them now anyway (might be selling actually if anyone is interested). Been looking at standard Minkis...anyone use these?Or have other suggestions? She's skinny but long if that helps....

NappiesLaGore · 02/10/2007 14:58

zone, i love your head for business - much like my own!

i realised at 16 while in timeshare telesales that i could never sell a thing unless i really loved it. i was RUBBISH at telesales

Thanks guys...I'm going to have to buy afew and try them out . Nappyslagalore -thansk for your loan offer but I think I will buy a pair ofwool pants as they look great, a minki huggle and a beehind. And maybe awool wrap. If DH will just give me an hour to feed my addiction that is...have to do it before DH comes home and questions my need to buy MORE nappies (he foolishly thought the 20 motherease, 5 fluffles, 1 bambineo,2 little lambs and 2 tots bots bamboo would be enough..hah!)

I meant if DD would give me an hour to feed my addiction...DH not THAT demanding!

NappiesLaGore · 02/10/2007 21:30

hah! and i thought i was bad...

susiecutie · 03/10/2007 01:09

Just bought some wonderoos with hemp inserts... to add to my collection ahem... help fulfill my needs

beckmo · 03/10/2007 08:53

Wonderoos hey...?I'll just take a peek at them.

Thing is every time I go to buy something DD wants to be picked up/fed so I can't. Here she goes again in fact. Then I come back here and there's another suggestion. I'm going to have the longest list of nappies that I want to try and she's just going to end up in mega boosted MOES anyway as no time to buy any of them.

Or I could just ignore my own thread!

susiecutie · 03/10/2007 09:23

haha
no, this is your fault... you can not get away that easy

I am now looking at all the suggestions, and have bought more myself.. i blame you whole heartedly. its nothing to do with my ahem... 'problem'

I didnt NEED anymore nappies, i love my minkis, but now have somw wonderoos coming my way

hehehehehe

NappiesLaGore · 03/10/2007 11:15

i had two berry pluch arrive this morning.
Oh
My
God.

they are DIVINE. i want some in my size!! my ds has the most pampered arse in the universe...

i have wonderoos... with microfibre (wonder-fulls) inserts... i like v much... mind you, i havnt tried the hemp inserts...

NappiesLaGore · 03/10/2007 11:16

sorry, Berry Plush. snap in AIO's.

LUSH.

susiecutie · 03/10/2007 11:27

oooo, Lush berry plush hey any good?

your little man really does have a pampered bottie... fancy doing such a thing!

I hope the hemparoos will be good... i decided on the hemp over the micro terry as they are only 0.6cm thin and hold more fluid... also the enviromental impact of using hemp is far less than most other materials... which of COURSE is the original reason i started using cloth... which then became a little bit of a late night obsession... i'm ok so long as i don't have credit card handy...

ok...

stands up, hand on chest

my name is susie and I'm a a nappyaholic. thank you.

nudges nappyslagore go on >>>

NappiesLaGore · 03/10/2007 21:15

its worse.
i know the credit card details off by heart.
i dont need the actual card as have memorised every last detail.
now thats bad.

susiecutie · 03/10/2007 22:49

whispers

its ok... i kind of do too... well, actually, I do! I do just double check it though... Id hate to not have a payment accepted!

So, how many do you think you have now anyway? nd what are they all? a list will help your therapy, i promise.. its not just to give me more ideas

susiecutie · 03/10/2007 22:51

ooo, how did i make that go bold??

not quite a whisper... more of a shout!

sleepbabysleep · 04/10/2007 07:17

Hey nappieslagore (like the name change ) just read your post about using minki standards.. might try and persuade dh that we should try it out properly for one night and see how it works, might be my last ditch chance at getting night nappies to work. What do you stuff them with? I´ve got wonderfulls, a terry square (not bamboo), fuzzy insert.. swaddlebees insert.. how many would I need? (he pees A LOT, a disposable is normally full and very heavy and starting to smell of pee by morning!)

NappiesLaGore · 04/10/2007 09:31

well, re nightime stuffing, someone on here once said that they found a mixture of different absorbent materials seemed to work better for them... so if its nightime i tend to try to get a bit of as many diff types as i can in there... have read that bamboo is the most absorbent, followed by hemp, then microfibre and cotton terry etc (tho microfibre seems lighter) SO i mix it up out fo whatevers clean/handy , but make sure there is more bamboo or hemp. i dont have much hemp actually...

the minki standard will take TONS of stuffing, but you can go overboard and my ds has objected at times ... 2 - 3 times what would use in the day as a start? then kind of see how it goes.

susie - id have to go up and get the collection to read off all the diff types... icant reember them otherwise! too many[hehehe]
getting on for 30 nappies i think in total.

Flamesparrow · 04/10/2007 12:44

Microfibre is always best on top because it draws in the liquid fastest, so less likely to have a leak after a power wee.

Berry Plush really are gooooooooooorgeous

NappiesLaGore · 04/10/2007 17:02

berry plush are not just gorgeous, they are divine. truly.

did dancing to punk music (the ramones) round the bedroom with ds3 in nought but his bam bam berry plush. dp punk pogoed.

i am in loooooove with the berry plush.

may sell all other nappies and just have them (joke)

susiecutie · 04/10/2007 17:20

Flamesparrow · 04/10/2007 17:39

beckmo · 05/10/2007 18:18

Berry plush. Just had a look. They look beautiful. Are they as good as they look?

Maybe she could do with some 'special' nappies as well as some night time ones...you know...for christmas or...er... something.

Have rediscovered my fluffles over teh last couple of days though...now it's colder and she seems to fit them better. Hated them at first but find them alright now.Still...

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 05/10/2007 18:37

NappiesLaGore · 05/10/2007 19:43

im telling you beckmo, theyare lusher than they look. i could get locked up for saying this, but i just wanted to stroke him bottom the whole time he was wearing them!!
