What age do they stop arriving for a snuggle?

DC1 is 10 and gets into bed with me (early!) a few mornings a week to have a snuggle. Sometimes he'll doze off for a bit, other times he chatters until DP wakes up and tells him to go and get breakfast, or until DD arrives and throws him out so she can jump in. I love our cozy starts and will be sad when he stops.

What sort of she do you reckon he'll stop? I can't imagine him doing it at 18 but if he did then we'd probably have to get a bigger bed Grin

Also curious as my 10yo loves doing this too Smile

Stopped here when started secondary school.

However, will now often come for an evening cuddle up and debrief instead.

My 12 Yr old does it less but still does it (I think mostly because she is asleep when we normally get up) my 8 year old still does it most mornings...

I'd better in eat in a bigger bed then!

Mine were all early rises until they hit puberty so they all stopped the early morning snuggles when they stopped waking up before us. However DS2 will still come in for a cuddle or will snuggle on the sofa when the opportunity arises and he is 12. (Ds1 is autistic and does not really do cuddles!)

DD stopped fairly early - she was usurped by her younger brothers. DS1 used to get in for a morning snuggle until he was 12. He would say feel my stubble and tell me about his dreams. DS2 stopped at 9ish but DH has a disability that means he is in lots of pain in the morning. They all come in for evening snuggles at 16, 13 and 10 though!
I was just thinking how much I missed being woken up by a warm, sweet scented child when I saw this thread. Precious times!

12yo and counting. She wakes later than everyone else but comes and finds me as soon as she does.
