We're exhausted!

Need a little moan tonight and hope that is ok with you guys. DS is 1 and that last few nights has been up and down constantly. Prior to this since about 10 months he's been a really decent sleeper and if he woke up would go straight down after a quick cuddle but these last few nights have been hell. I think it's worse because we got used to 3 months of pretty much a full nights sleep.
He's been a pain all day today too because he's so tired and has just winged and cried. We are both exhausted with it.
Just in need of a handhold!

Sounds tough. Is he teething or unwell? Too hot?

If there are two of you then take it in turns to get some sleep

Agree with PP, sounds like teething or being unwell. Have you given any pain relief?

The positive is that if they slept well before, they know how to do it so they will do it again!

In the interim, I would operate in shifts at night so you can both get decent chunks at night and try to get out and about in the day if you can xx

Sorry for late reply!
No teeth we can see but it's not impossible. we are now doing it in shifts so hopefully we can get some sleep!!

I feel your pain. My son did exactly this just before first birthday and he has just been a pain at night since.
I follow the wonder weeks app, and I'm sure it said he was leaping at the time. Every time he leaps he is such he's work.
Good luck OP and hope your little one settles back to normal sleep soon

If not teething, it could be 12month sleep regression. Apparently it's a thing! We were pretty disappointed as we'd only just got through the 8-10month one with ds and his sleep had settled again. It lasted about 3 weeks and was hard work as he was standing up in the cot constantly. Eventually he went back to being a good(ish) sleeper. Try and be consistent with your routine/resettling as we started bringing him into our bed (through sheer exhaustion) and took a while to get him used to his cot again
