Hey all !!
I know this can be a vary touchy subject here but first time mum !
I'm fully aware of all the risks and looking for some advice ?
My LG is 7 months old and can roll on her front but not back - drama queen already !
Recently she rolls on to her front in her sleep and sometimes face down. She does it almost instAntly in her cot ...
Do I leave her ? I'm worried that through the night she snuggles into the mattress and I don't hear her !
I know the risks massively reduce from 6 months but need advice on
Worried sick x

When my ds did this I took a small blanket and rolled it into a body length sausage and placed it alongside him on both sides so he resembled a hot dog. 😆 Stopped doing it when he could roll onto his back as well.

But, be prepared for baby being harder to settle at first cos preferred sleeping position isn't possible. Small price to pay for peace of mind though.

It's fine if they roll onto their front themselves, because they have the strength to lift their head. It's just the parent putting them down on their front to sleep that is the SIDS risk.

Here's the lullaby trust page, there's a section on babies rolling onto their tummies:
www.lullabytrust.org.uk/safer-sleep-advice/sleeping-position/

Most babies seem to prefer sleeping on their front, DS has done since he learnt to roll and it was a big relief!

Thank you , she does seem to prefer it but it's juts cause she pure her nose right into the mattress I worry ! I suppose it's all part of being a mother lol x
