Sicky baby

Hi 👋 I have a 5 week old who is being sick a lot. He is generally very healthy (thankfully) bit has always been a bit sicky. Recently, he has started being a lot more sick (not projectile but seems more thab possetting) this has been for a fair few days now. Doesn't necessarily seem to be just after feeding either.
I think he has also had some discomfort from wind, which settles after a few hours.
He doesn't seem dehydrated or have a temperature: should I be concerned?

I wouldn’t be concerned, could be a touch of reflux which is common in babies. Can do a few things to help if mild:

• Feed upright

• rub for wind, dont pat

• keep baby upright for at least 20 mins after a feed

• consider raising one end of whatever baby sleeps in by popping a book under one end, or if using a next to me there is a button.

• feed less volume more often if practical/baby tolerates it

For the wind issues, are you boob or formula? If boob, there may be things you eat which increase babies wind. If formula, changing to mam or Dr Browns bottles may help.

Agree with the above. I had a sicky baby, he didn't seem in pain and wasn't losing weight so no one was concerned. Just meant a lot of laundry til he grew out of it!

Not sure if you're breast or bottle feeding but we found using mam bottles and aptamil anti reflux milk significantly reduced the puking, it's just a bit thicker than normal formula milk. Also the GP could prescribe a thickener called carobel but I found the all in one formula easier.

He puked a lot less once he could sit up confidently himself about 7months and it was completely gone by 11 months.
