Doll help please... so tired!

I won't go into the full long story, but I need a doll for my 18 month old boy with long hair that he can run his fingers through and scrunch to sleep - which is not creepy for when I wake up face to face with it at 3am... I'm not having a lot of luck on Amazon or ebay? Any recommendations please? I just want some sleep (and some of my hair remaining after 12 months of this...)

I was thinking something more akin to a rag doll than a plastic doll, just not finding anything great?

Might be easier to just put a wig on yourself a doll might not cut it . When our ds was a baby he liked fiddling with my ears when he was going to sleep - toys ears were no substitute .

QueenQuinn · 25/07/2020 21:37

How about Disney toddler dolls? My son sleeps with these and carries them by their hair.

If you want to go with a Ragdoll try Etsy

I bought one for my niece from John Lewis Rag doll with hair

My DS was like this, loved nothing better than snuggling up with his hands in my hair. He pinched his sisters makeup/hair styler head thing at one point which was very funny.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and my hair fell out. He was ok with it but still asks me to grow it long! He still loves anything that is very soft to the touch. He has loads of soft Pokemon's at the moment.

ThatDamnScientist · 25/07/2020 21:48

I am watching to see what is suggested. My youngest dd will only falll asleep when holding my hair (I suspect sensory, she is autistic), we really need to break me being the only one who she will fall asleep with.

Argos doll
This doll has a soft body, so sort of like a ragdoll

These are beautiful

TheSpottedZebra · 25/07/2020 21:50

There was apost on here AGES ago where someone bought a wig for their child and attached it to something - maybe a big teddy?

bookmum08 · 25/07/2020 22:05

Design a Friend dolls have soft bodies and are quite cuddly.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 25/07/2020 22:19

Designafriends are soft bodied. They are lovely and cuddly. Only head, legs arms plastic and not hard.

Brilliant suggestions thanks, and I love the john Lewis and bonnika dolls! I'm wondering whether a plus my little pony might work now, they have long hair and come quite large? I have options now!!
