Sterilising bottles

So I have a Tommee tippee steam steriliser and I am confused about it... I have been sterilising the bottles and then once it's finished I take all of the bottles out and put the tops and the lids on the bottles and then they are there when I'm ready to use them but it says on the tommee tippee website "When the sterilising cycle is finished, either removed contents and use straightaway or leave the lid closed and contents will remain sterile for up to 24 hours" which doesn't really make sense as everytime you take a bottle out you have to keep sterilising all the other bottles? How would it work if you were to go out for the day ? You need a lot of bottles, so obviously you can just put all the tops onto the bottles once the sterilising is finished. Don't want to sound stupid but I know this is sounding stupid haha.

what you're doing is fine. Assemble bottles ready for use and they're OK for 24 hours

Okay I thought so thank you

I just put it on and left the bottles in there, took them out as I needed them. We’ve never had any issues.

I did the same as teacake, never caused us any problems

Yeah I also did the same at the start but then found it easier just to take them all out.

I’ve done both ways and been totally fine - my baby is 5 weeks. I did ask my health visitor and she advised your method - take them out and assemble them then use within 24 hours.
