Travel Sickness - Help!

Hello,

I'm not really sure what topic this should be under, sorry!

I have an 18 month old who is terribly car sick whenever we go out, within the first mile of driving she goes as white as a sheet and then within ten/fifteen minutes she's been sick (some times she will be sick again, sometimes it's just the once).

We have spoken to the pharmacy/GP and there is nothing we can give her until she is over 2 years - they suggested some homeopathy stuff but it has been discontinued and I can't get it anywhere.

Does anyone have an ideas what we can do to help alleviate this?

She is now sitting forward facing and we try not to go out for at least an hour after she has eaten.

Thanks x

As children, my DSis and I were always travel sick. We used to have little travel sickness bracelet things, that were meant to stop us being sick, and to be fair they did seem to work quite well.

My DM always packed spare clothes and a bucket!

As we got older, we were taught to always look forward out the front window. We also used travel tablets, Boots used to do brilliant ones that only need to be taken 20 minutes before the journey, but I think they may be discontinued. I believe my family now use Kwells.

Even now, I still feel really queasy if I am sat in the back of a car...
