Fucking nose congestion

I’m fuming as I type this because, my husband, my DD and I all suffer from congestion when we wake in the mornings - particularly DD.
Sometimes opening the window/door helps, and sometimes it doesn’t.
We’ve had the fan on during the night recently due to weather (although not tonight) and due to suffering from congestion - decided to purchased a humidifier in the hopes that it will help us with the breathing/congestion.
I thought it helped us the first night (could be wrong/imagining it) but tonight is the third night we’ve had it on, and my DD has woken screaming that her nose is blocked.
The fucking humidifier is misting away and I’m in a foul mood on account on my interrupted sleep wondering if it’s doing fuck all.

What the fuck else can I do.

I should note that the window was open half an inch tonight (forgot to close) and I don’t know if this could be/is an issue.

Any thoughts please? Can you tell I'm slightly annoyed? Grin

We use an air purifier. It's made a big difference to our son's congestion and sleep issues.

If you find the answer I would love to know. Depending on my guess at the cause, I use a combination of humidifier, air purifier and/or saline nasal spray or sometimes a medicated nasal spray for allergies. I also vacuum regularly because I am apparently allergic to dust mites (have had an allergy assessment in hospital). I've also been told to minimise dairy, especially in the evenings because although not the source of my problems, it can result in excess mucus production.

It's incredibly frustrating.
