Food to keep in the car for toddler

If we want to stay out past her dinner time (home for 4.30 to cook, dinner at 5), what can I keep in the car to feed her? We wouldn't be near shops.
Nothing too messy, nothing too perishable.
She's not fussy.

Noodles will be far too salty

But if you know you're likely to be out, just make a sandwich in the morning surely?

You don't have to add all the flavour packet to noodles though.

@WaxOnFeckOff your car sounds great! I'm also slowly filling my car with this kind of stuff but need to get boxes as my car doesn't have those amazing sounding compartments
@DwellInPossibility a potato! Haha brilliant alas no microwave
Oatcakes, sweetcorn, pineapple tins... Some great ideas thanks!

DS is a good bit younger but we usually have a banana on hand for emergency snacks. We also have apricots or prunes in the house that I'll often stick in a bag if we're headed out.
