Hi all,

Just wondering how often mums give LO eggs?

I give my 8 month old egg every other day for breakfast. Boiled or scrambled (with spinach)

Not sure if it's too much? (FTM) :)

Thank you

No, I don’t think it’s too much.

@Ricekrispie22 thank you for the reply :) Not sure why but I used to hate eggs. Still can't eat much. Maybe once a week. I hope I won't put LO off it

About once every 2 to 3 days because more often than that causes constipation in my little ones.

if you get no side effects go for it, its a perfectly healthy breakfast

My eldest has never liked ever. Ever, not once. Despite numerous tries 😂

DD (14m) likes it. She has it about 3-4 times a week, either as scrambled eggs for breakfast, omelette or boiled for lunch, or as a quiche/frittata type for lunch or leftovers.

Dyra · 18/07/2020 09:01

Nah. Tonnes of protein. Perfectly healthy. Scrambled with spinach sounds nice. Add a bit of hot sauce, and I would really enjoy that.

I'm a little jealous. DD doesn't seem to be a fan of eggs. She used to be ok with them, but nowadays just about tolerates a boiled egg. But even that is accompanied by a "yuck" expression. However, if she doesn't realise it's egg, like in quiche or eggy bread, she loves it.

@Dyra my LO seems to like boiled more than scrammbled. She has the ew face with scrambled but still eats it 😂

@Lostinbooksandcoffee thanks so much! I haven't tried omlette yet and will do that next.

Probably every day, either as a Chucky egg on the morning or as omlette fingers for lunch! It’s brain food according to my HV!
