Hi everyone, just waned think would if you can give babies infacol and Nystatin. I’ve tried ringing through to the pharmacy but I can’t seem to get through. My daughter is 3 weeks old and we’ve both had thrush so been put in cream and Nystatin. My daughter is also struggling with trapped wind and looks to be in a lot of pain after feeds (breastfeeding) so I’ve bought some infacol but I’m unsure wether I can give her both. Any advice would be great. TIA

You can given them both- nystatin should be applied to the areas of thrush so not directly swallowed. But personally wouldn't bother with infacol. Evidence base for its effectiveness is ropey. One random used control trial showed no difference in symptoms.
