Corona caravaning!

Hi 👋 We have a 4 week old and an 8 year old. A friend has offered us their caravan for a couple of days and we are planning on going - mainly for our 8 year old who has been in lockdown since March and also become a sibling!
Is it safe for the baby in terms of corona, do you think? Planning on staying away from amusements etc and overly busy beaches. Thoughts appreciated :)

Yes I should think it’s absolutely fine. Your 4 week old isn’t going to be clambering over playgrounds or eating off restaurant menus so is going to have such minimal chance of picking up germs, especially cocooned in a pram or sling. The sunlight and fresh air will be good.

It’s completely self contained.
It’s the ultimate “bubble”.
Is it a static or a tourer?
Only thing about a tourer is baby crying carries...as does any noise to neighbours. This can be disturbing for surrounding families.
Also, if you are not planning on going anywhere, your 8 year old, stuck in a box is still stuck in but with far far less space.
Not sure if it will be ANY fun for them.

I think the change of scene will help anyway! My partner will do beach stuff with the 8 year old and I will prob head back to caravan with the baby! I think it's a static but that's the extent of my caravan knowledge. At the mo the baby sleeps most of the time 🤞

We are off next week into a wee static (one that stays permanently at a site, like a long flat house rather than one on wheels that you tow with a car)

We absolutely love it.
I have a 17 year old and a 7 year old, similar age gap to yours.
It is a change of scenery as you say.
You lucky thing having a kind and generous friend offering this to you.
You will have a great time.

Thank you 😊 We are very lucky: they won't accept payment so a big crate of booze it is! I am loving the big age gap ATM! Hope you and the family have a great holiday xx
