Hi Guys

Long time mumsnet readers but first post to introduce ourselves.

We are a couple living in Suburban south London with our son Luca who arrived very early Saturday morning.

First week home and we are starting to relax a little after a couple of nights of new parent anxiety (& taking it in turns to watch him sleep)

Anyway hello from us :)

Hi! Try and figure out a routine and start right away - you may think it's not doing anything but it will kick in eventually- consistency is key. It was a big success in terms of getting my babies to sleep at night and allowing much needed couple time.

Thanks, we have a pretty good routine going so far and touch wood he has been sleeping pretty well through the night, waking every 2.5/3 hours for a feed and usually a pretty messy nappy change (he has a particularly good aim ha :))

Day time we bring him down and open shutters in the lounge at about 9am and just go about our business (hoovering, television, talking etc) and he seems pretty happy waking every few hours for a look around and some gurgling

Main anxiety is around the temperature in the house, the room is currently at around 23.5 degrees and we have him in a babygro, short sleeve vest and then tucked into his next to me crib with a cellular blanket (up to waist height) - he seems pretty comfortable in this and not too hot - so we are slowly working out what works best :)
