Baby acne 9 week old

Hi everyone

I’m a first time mum and just after some advice, my little boy seems to be experiencing some “baby acne”

He originally had a flare up around 4 weeks old but it went away, the reason for the post is he turned 9 weeks yesterday and it seems to have come back again this week, has anyone else experienced it coming and going? Sorry if it sounds a daft question but I’m worrying myself silly and feel guilty about it coming back!

Thanks in advance

X

Yes this happened to my daughter. Keep it clean & moisturised. We found Child's Farm > Johnson's to work better x

Hmm, not sure then. Mine did have acne that recurred but that was due to my hormones in the milk. Might be worth a word with a health visitor or GP, but I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Ah I will give childs farm a go! He seems to be drooling an awful lot and discovering his hands too so not sure if that’s adding to it being aggravated, keeping it clean with warm water at the moment but if that moisturiser helped your little girl I will try it out, thank you.

Ah I see, i saw GP last week as he had his 8 week immunisations and he did say it’s common but just with it seeming to come back again; it doesn’t seem to be bothering him it’s more me being a worry wort! Thank you for your reply though x

Is it just on the lower half of the face ?

@AnotherBiteMe

Is it just on the lower half of the face ?
Yes mostly, just a couple of red blemishes on his cheeks, near his nose and chin

My ff son had this. It didnt seem to bother him so I left it. It went away on its own at about 10 weeks.

AnotherBiteMe · 16/07/2020 20:29

My first ff DC had this. It was irritation from the wet milk staying on his face too long. Just make sure you keep the area dry / change bibs if they get to wet. My DC's went away on its own.
