Just out of curiosity, what is the age difference between your babies?

2 years between 1st and 2nd. Then I upgraded husbands and had a third 9 years after the 2nd.

EthelMayFergus · 15/07/2020 21:13

I had 4 in 4 years, so roughly a year between each (no twins). They have the odd squabble but generally get on well, they're between 11 and 15 now.

It will be almost exactly 3 years, perhaps just slightly over.

Gillian1980 · 18/07/2020 20:06

DD is 3y 9m older than DS.

Planned this way as we couldn’t afford / x nursery costs so waited until 3y funding kicked in before ttc. It also meant I was on maternity leave when DD started school, so nice to be there to do school runs etc.

The downside is she found him incredibly boring for the first year. She was jealous, having been used to having us to herself. She is just getting into fiddly toys like Lego as he’s getting fully mobile, so we have to be really on the ball with that. Also hard having got through the baby & toddler stages to go back and start it all again.... exhausting! Especially as we’re also older now.

But all in all it was the right decision for us to have a largish gap.
