Hello all, my baby is 4 months old and only breastfed. I have not been giving baby any Vit D. I don't really know why I have not. Now have been googling and worried that I've caused my baby harm by not giving the supplements.

You're breastfeeding? Your diet is his diet. Just keep up your own intake of oily fish/salmon, green leafy veges and lots of outside time in the sun and your baby will be fine.

You should definitely give a bfed baby vitamin d. It's highly unlikely that they are getting enough through the breast milk. However, having said that, you haven't done any damage and it's never too late to start. You should probably be taking vitamin d yourself as it's pretty difficult to get enough from the sun in northern countries.

I'm sure it will be fine, but start now.

Obviously have a good diet yourself, but it's very difficult to get enough vit D in this country so supplements are necessary.
