Have a 10 & 13 year old. Both have been at home for most of the last few months with a few days at school keyworker places as hubby & I work in NHS.
Wondering how to differentiate the summer hols from ‘home schooling’
Worried about too much home on IT for the kids - how does everyone do it? Do you put rules in place for things?
Hubby and I have 2 weeks off in aug & no plans as not booked a holiday due to CV 19 but the rest of the time will be with us juggling work.
Any advice / ideas re structure of the day or things to keep them from 14 hour Xbox days?!

No massively helpful suggestions but I'm in the same boat so am lurking Smile
It's going to be a difficult balancing act of letting the kids chill after 3 very intense months of virtual schooling, and not letting them watch tv/game 12 hrs a day....

So difficult as not much difference between our attempts at homeschooling & being on holiday!
Going to sit the kids down for our first ever ‘family meeting’ today and draw up a list of things we each want to do. Hoping they don’t just say dawn-til-dusk screens!

I'm making sure that every week they have at least 2 days planned days at sports camp / planned activity. Can you see it anywhere near you has anything available ? Can you find somewhere to stay in UK for a short break?

Also since most people will be staying in UK can they meet up with friends? Have them over to the house? Or garden?
