Baby won't feed himself

My almost 9 month old son refuses to feed himself any of his savoury finger foods, he will happily take it on a spoon as purée but will not feed himself. He will also happily take anything fruit finger food, (fruit etc) any tips would be great. He also won't take it off either myself or his mum

I wouldn't worry too much at the moment, just keep offering. My LO is always more keen to try new things if I am eating at the same time and even better if the food appears to come from my plate

Doesn’t sound that unusual, some kids are very kid to feed themselves at this age, but plenty aren’t. Remember, he’ll be getting very little nutrition from his food at the moment, you’re just trying to expose him to different tastes and textures at the moment.

It's difficult but stop stressing about it. Just leave it in front of him and if he eats it then great, if he ignores it then no worries there's always another meal - he won't starve.
