1 year jabs

DS is due his 1 year jabs tomorrow.
We haven't left the house apart from walks since covid! Has anyone been for a vaccine appointment in this time? What can I expect.
My biggest biggest fear is that he will react and end up in hospital and being quarantined because of a fever!
Any experience since covid would be great!

We went for MMR booster a few weeks ago. Was normal, just with masks and hardly any ppl in the surgery. They said about a fever and I asked if we would have to quarantine etc, they said only if it persists. She didn't get a fever anyway thank goodness

Yes, it was about 8 weeks ago for my DD. I was asked to wear a mask if possible. We entered the surgery through a separate door, only saw the nurse (who was in full PPE). She was extremely efficient, we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. They didn't touch the red book, gave me a separate print out instead.

Overall they were really well organised. Of course nothing is zero risk but at the moment the infection rate is so low I really wouldn't worry.
