Baby just refuses to nap atm

Today she’s slept probably about 1.5 hours 😂 I tried to put her down for a nap just now, nope!! Was having none of it so put the light on and she just started smiling at me, I was like no you have to sleep!! She’s 5 months old, currently watching the fish tank (stimulating I know), I’m gonna take her out in the car see if that works. I’m guessing it’s because she’s doing a lot of developing right now and just wants to explore?? She’s perfectly happy, not crying (however I feel like it 😂). Anyone else?!

Stressing out about your baby's naps just makes it worse in my opinion. You end up more time trying to get them to nap then they spend napping. Can you leave her looking at the fish tank in the hope she'll nod off or will she kick off?

I wasn’t stressing about it (I was a few weeks ago), and I try for a little while but if she’s having none of it I just leave it. I ended up taking her on a drive for an hour so at least she had a decent nap :) now time for bedtime....

Oh I no how you feel we have the dreaded x4 30 minute naps everyday and no amount of resettling will send him back to sleep he's far too nosey hehe. Bedtime now for him too just having his bottle as we speak yipppeeee :D xx

I hear ya. My son is 3.5 months old and cried the entire way around our normal pram walk where he would nap. I ended up carrying him and pushing the pram. When we got back he was perfectly happy though. I think may he just didnt want a nap?!
