Hi everyone. Just after a bit of advice.
I’m lucky that I’ve had a lovely bfing journey with my lo and she is now 14 months and still a boob monster ! Until she was 12 months she was still feeding 4/5 times in 24hrs but After FINALLY sleeping through and eating more she has now dropped to 2 feeds a day - one when she wakes up at around 6.30am and one before bath/bed at around 6pm. This is now part of our routine.

2 months of this and I was expecting to maybe get my period back and cycles return ?! But nothing! And no I’m not preg. We would like to start trying for no 2 in the next few months but my cycles are totally absent. !! Is this normal would you say?

I did have long/irregular cycles before I got pregnant first time so I’m a little worried about getting it going again.

Thanks !!!

It can be normal. Everyone is different. My period came back at 3 months with my one who was ebf, feeding like every 1.5 hours at that point! But with my ff baby, I didn't get a period at all before I went back on the pill at 5 months pp. Your body is different with every baby and there is a really wide variation in what's normal.

You can get pregnant even before your periods return. It's certainly possible. I have a friend who did years of fertility treatment to get pregnant with her first baby, was ebf, no periods, and got pregnant naturally when her baby was 3 months!

I would give it until you are either ready to stop bf (you'll sort of feel done when it's time) or you are ready to ttc and then stop. You might just be someone who needs to stop completely for it to normalise - or it may just surprise you and come back one of these days.
