MEOS or Sandy's? Or shall I get more Bimbles??

I'm abandoning my bambineos (only have a few), and need to replace with something. DD is 14lb10oz, so still a way to go before the 20lb next size threshold.

So, I'm wondering shall I try Sandys, which means getting a couple of sizes in the long run?

Or get some more MEOS? I have 2, and I like them but I don't LOVE them! Cheaper option long term of course.

I do love my Bimbles, so maybe I should just get more and stick with one nappy..... again, costs more than a batch of extra MEOS.

Any thoughts on Sandys, is what I'm really asking!

I think that at 14lbs you sould probably get away with the large sandy's and avoid buying the small ones. I liked my sandy's very much so would reccomend them to anyone, but my ds always grew out of them well before the reccommended weight which is why I think you could go straight for the large.

Ah, thanks for that tutu. She is rather skinny, but I suppose it doesn't do any harm to try a large one....

My other reason for thinking of getting more MEOS is that nappymania has them at 31 quid for 5, which seems a bit of a bargain. And free postage too...

Does anyone know of any other nappy sites doing free postage, so I can get one Sandys to try? Or perhaps, does anyone want to sell me a second hand one?

this site www.snugglebumnappies.co.uk does free p&p and she's a mumsnetter. You could try here www.bumfluffnappies.co.uk for a classifieds section if you want a secondhand one.

Never been a MEOS fan myself. I do love the shape of all bimbly bumbly nappies though, so I would lean towards getting more of those

SpongebobControlpants · 27/09/2007 12:42

I think you might be right flame - I just put an MEOS on her, and TRIED to convince myself that i like it, but....

Buying them cos they're cheap is not the best idea, methinks. I've done that already with other nappies (terries being a notable example) and really really wished I hadn't when I tried them!

Still pondering the sandys option. But I do love my yellow bimbles, and for some reason they seem to stay softer than the white ones, which is even better

Thanks tutu, I've namechanged but yes I do do free p&p and have some lovely Bamboo Sandy's just waiting to be sold!

claireybee · 27/09/2007 16:51

I'd go with the bimbles, sandys are good but less absorbant. never tried MEOS cos am a sized nappy fan but if you don't love them then don't get any more!
