OU virgin, help needed

Im a single Mum with a 1yr old DD, I have wanted to do an English degree for a while, I want to be a primary school teacher, can I achive this or part of this with the OU and can you please tell me what I need to do - who to speak to?

Do you think there will be any financial assistance available for me?

You can do a degree and a PGCE with the OU.

Look at the online prospectus.

There should also be some stuff on finanacial assistance on there. I don't know much about that.
