Changing back to normal formula from anti-reflux

Just wondered if anybody had done this when their baby wasn't so refluxy anymore?

My 16 week old had mild reflux when she went onto formula and beings new mum I had no idea really so was advised by the GP to try anti reflux formula which we did from 5 weeks and she's been great on it. Sick on the odd occasion but she's a very happy and settled little girl. Looking back now I don't think her reflux was that bad and she's growing out of it now I feel. I was thinking of getting her back onto normal formula and just wondered if anyone else had done this? Did little one take to the thinness of normal formula okay and did it affect their routine and sleep etc? She sleeps well at night so I would hate to mess her up, but equally I think she would have better bowel movements on the normal stuff. Thank you.

Hi,

We changed to aptamil comfort. I cant remember when but half way through 4 months we went back to normal aptamil she was fine.

I tried normal aptamil as soon as she turner 4 months but she was throwing it up so waited to two more weeks, tried again and it was fine.

I'd leave her on it OP. It's probably that helping her. Mine both had reflux. I weaned them both at 16 weeks and then kept them on reflux formula until they stopped having formula at a year old.

@Yorkiee that's interesting. I might see after this current box how she goes in normal.

@Fatted I just think looking back she had nothing more than just a bit of baby sick and has outgrown it now. I feel like normal would really help her bowel movements etc. But I don't want to ruin her sleep etc.
