Need to buy more nappies

sleepbabysleep · 26/09/2007 20:41

Ds will soon be out of a few sized pockets and will leave me with about 13 nappies (7 pockets, 6 shaped) so I´m going to need to stock up a bit. Slimness probably most important but quick drying not far behind. Already have bambineo´s and wonderoos so want something different (but no more pockets..)

What shall I go for? Quick flips? Teddies? Come on girls, I know you´re out there, try and sell me some nappies..

Note.. I can´t actually BUY any until I have sold some size 1s I need to shift but I will, oh yes, I will

no more pockets! hmmm this is a tough one for me then - teddys or fluffles are very ermm fluffy and quick drying . Technically not a pocket but i have some new drybee aio hybrids on order . Not even tempt you with a onesize pocket ? ok forget pockets - oo dotn stock them yet but bimbles are loooooooooovely - also im liking ellas house bumhuggers. oooooo new mommys touch? oh i know there a pocket

Good luck

Flamesparrow · 26/09/2007 20:49

Quick flip lights are slim and fast drying. Standard ones are quite bulky but a great night nappy.

Teddies are loooovely I like bumbles lots too.

sleepbabysleep · 26/09/2007 20:58

hmm.. I do love my wonderoos but with winter coming I want to be able to use poppered vests and get annoyed when the pockets wick.. I loved bimbles when he was little, nice and simple, so maybe I should go for bumbles.. I think it´s between them and quick flip lites but then someone says ´teddy´ and I think hmmmmm..

SBS - go for a couple of quick flips (work great at night with a booster IME) and a couple of teddys...go on you know you want to

curlywurlycremeegg · 26/09/2007 21:26

Whay sort of Wonderoos do you have the Wonderworks ones or the new Hip Hip baby ones? I find the new ones don't really wick unless you over stuff them

sleepbabysleep · 27/09/2007 06:11

now you´re talking norma but don´t TALK to me about night nappies

What´s the difference in size/absorbancy between a bumble and bambeasy? Drying time? My wonderoos are the new hip hip baby ones and it can´t be overstuffing as I´m only using 1 small insert still. It doesn´t always happen but when it does it´s a pain..

(it´s maveta here btw, keep forgetting I´ve name changed and people might not have noticed! lol)

A bambeasy is exactly like a bumble but made with bamboo instead of cotton terry. I don't think they are much slimmer, they are pretty good for absorbancy but, like all bamboo, take about 2 days to dry. I find the bambineos (new wambamboos) the fastest drying bamboo of my stash.

curlywurlycremeegg · 27/09/2007 09:51

Is the single insert soaked through when you get the wicking? It may be that you just need a bit more absorbency in them

SpongebobControlpants · 27/09/2007 11:02

Bimbles do come in bigger sizes, if you order them directly from easypeasy. Most people seem to be unaware of this. I have some luvverly yellow ones (not yet needing 20lb+ size yet, but they do have them).

The bimbles are a bit cheaper than the bumbles, too.

I'm actually wondering whether to get more size 1 bimbles (up to 20lb) or some more MEOS. Or something. In fact will start a new thread!

I recall you having probs with your bambineos being wet through quite quickly. Do you like them better now? I've gone off them because they bunch up between the legs, unlike the fab bimbles!

sleepbabysleep · 27/09/2007 14:14

curlywurly - now there´s thought! I hadn´t even thought of that..

spongebob - so what´s the difference (if you know) of size 2 bimbles and bumbles?? I´m getting on better with the bambineos now, not sure what´s changed but they aren´t annoying me anymore so they must be working

Definitely don´t want anything that´s going to take longer to dry than my bambineos so looks like the bambeasy are out. Off to look at size 2 bimbles...

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 27/09/2007 15:15

Oooh ooh I know I KNOW!!!

They have the same absorbency etc, but the bumble is turned and stitched (so all the edges are on the inside) which makes it that bit bulkier but a neater look, and the bimble is stitched on the outside so it has that more frilly look and is flatter edges.

Flamesparrow · 27/09/2007 18:07

I'm interested if she isn't

NAB3 · 27/09/2007 18:11

Okay.

nappyzone · 27/09/2007 20:08

sleep baby - also extra extra larger vests that dont pull so tight help stop wicking through compression - i can get away using them when its a bit parkie.

Bimbles - i knew too but flames such the class swot she gets in there hours before me lol!!! - i am the more shy seller though lol!

sleepbabysleep · 27/09/2007 21:53
