Hello ladies. I had my little boy Tuesday 30/6/2020. I've just changed his nappy and his cord is looking like this. Just wondering if this is normal? It appears a little red around his belly button and his cord has gone a dark colour.

Urgh cords are grim.

Yes it looks normal. A tiny bit of redness is ok, but just keep an eye for any pus or increased redness.

My babies cord turned green, then black before it fell off. It took 4 weeks because he'd had a 5 day course of antibiotics at hospital which stopped the 'rotting' process 🤢
